When you have a precious first birthday to plan you have to come up with something fantabulous to celebrate the occasion! That’s why I called on my Scrapbooking friends Mary Ann, Wen and Jennifer. Jennifer sells “Close to my Heart” which has wonderful supplies for aspiring Aunt’s that want to impress her #1 Niece! So my challenge was #1 birthday, Fourth of July Fireworks! and something precious that the family can treasure for Roxie’s life. Once I picked my stamps, papers and a general design… I headed up to Rabun County, GA to hang out with Scrapbooking Queens Mary Ann and Wen! they have so much creative SPARK! and we designed the perfect card with all the layers, ribbons, buttons (all hand tied by Mary Ann!) and of course a HUGE Number ONE! for my girl…
Here are some photos of the finished product!
We have LAYERS upon LAYERS of embossed paper, printed paper, cut paper and of course some BUTTONS!
then I used “Chalkboard” Paint Pens to address to Nonna & Papa. You have to finish everything off with a CUSTOM stamp… it’s my first and definitely NOT my last to order neat stamps with the photo I choose!
The absolute BEST part about Close to my Heart for me are the STAMPS! Maybe I am old fashioned but I did not know what to make of these clear stamp “tops” kinda like muffin tops? the best part… and you have just one clear block that the “stamp top” sticks to… miracle if you ask me! So here is my stamp of choice… what do you think?
Inside I layered the invitation with the photo taken at Lake Burton where the party is to be held!
Front, Back, Envelope with “Roxie Stamp!”

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY ROXIE! I love you so very much xoxo Aunt Jeni
